The REALTOR® Designation
This is your professional trademark. The REALTOR® Logo is an insignia of professionalism and service in the real estate industry. REALTOR® members shall have the privilege of using the terms REALTOR® and REALTORS® in connection with places of business, as long as they maintain Association membership. No other class of membership shall use this trademark.

Ethics, Mediation and Arbitration
The SBAOR provides a member run system by which industry standards are upheld and disputes can be resolved without litigation. SBAOR members must follow the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, which stands for honor, integrity, competency and professionalism. SBAOR oversees the procedures for responding to ethical complaints and disputes through professional standards, mediation and arbitration.

REALTOR® Action Fund (R.A.F)/ Legislative Advocacy
Representation at every level of Government, REALTORS® actively help to pass or defeat hundreds of legislative bills each year. We are influential because if the number of members we have. Your contribution is a "voice in the legislature". Please contribute any amount ($148.00 is recommended) for the REALTOR® Action Fund when paying your dues. Yes, you can make a difference!

Tips and guidance with city selling issues and requirements
Many cities in the South Bay have certain requirements in order to close escrow. These may include specific inspections, fees, taxes. They may also include mandated low-flow toilets, water heater strapping, or mandatory affordable housing waivers. Are you and your clients aware of the requirements in your city? As a member of the SBAOR, you will have access to all the city selling requirements and be given tips and guidance with issues that may come up in different cities during your escrow.

Continuous Community Involvement
At the SBAOR, we feel it is very important to give back to our local communities. We offer a variety of ways for our members to give back to their communities.
